VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!!!!

Tomorrow, Saturday August 24th we will be having a Community Work Day at the Summerdale Miracle League Park at 8:00 A.M. The park is located at 802 NW 1st Street in Summerdale.

Please come out and get the park ready for the children to enjoy!!! If you can’t come out, please share this post, so the park can get completed!!!

We will be cleaning the playground, assembling picnic tables and benches, and doing some landscaping. We need people to bring shovels, rakes, weedeaters, blowers and other equipment for landscaping. Others need to bring battery operated drills, socket sets, and screwdrivers, etc. for table and bench assembly. We need people to bring rags and gloves so we can wipe down all of the equipment.

Thank you in advance for assisting the Town of Summerdale and the Miracle League of Coastal Alabama provide an opportunity for children and young adults with special needs and other disabilities the excitement of a playground and park that is adapted to their needs.

Central Baldwin Sunset Rotary Club outdid themselves once again! Thank you for the $20,000 donation from your Alligators and Ale event! We are so appreciative and can’t wait to apply this to getting the playground ready to open!

Check out the update on the Miracle League of Coastal Alabama!!! We are moving forward with the playground. Excited to announce that we have raised over $1,000,000 towards this project.

March meeting of the MLCA underway. It was just announced that we have received another $121,000 in grants and donations! 🙌🙌🙌 Big thanks to City of Orange Beach, City of Foley, City of Gulf Shores, City of Robertsdale, Town of Summerdale, Town of Loxley, Town of Magnolia Springs, Town of Elberta for donations and to City of Orange Beach for matching these donations. Also, big thanks to Deb Tollefson and Poarch Band of Creek Indians and Snook Foundation for their recent donations. We are ready and making plans to complete the playground. YES!!!!!!!!!
