Meeting of the Minds 2027
Important Updates and Clarifications
Hello, Parrot Heads!
Following our exciting announcement that Meeting of the Minds 2027 will be moving to Fort Myers Beach (FMB), Florida, the PHiP Board and MOTM Chairs would like to address some of the questions, comments, and concerns we've received.
We also want to provide clarification regarding our current Flash Sale, which continues through tomorrow!
🌴 Why the Move to Fort Myers Beach?
First and foremost, the decision to relocate Meeting of the Minds was made with one goal in mind: doing what is best for the event, our attendees, and its long-term future.
This was not a decision made overnight or based on personal preferences. We have carefully reviewed several years of attendee surveys, attendance trends, financial performance, and feedback from our Parrot Head community.
The decision was driven by three important factors: what our attendees want, financial responsibility, and the long-term sustainability of Meeting of the Minds.
As stewards of this event, we have a responsibility to make decisions that will allow Meeting of the Minds to remain financially viable, attract new attendees, and continue growing for years to come.
We believe Fort Myers Beach, along with our new host venue, Margaritaville Beach Resort, provides an exciting opportunity to accomplish those goals while offering the tropical atmosphere and destination experience that so many Parrot Heads enjoy.
Our goal is simple: We need to be where our attendees want to go, while maintaining the attendance necessary to keep Meeting of the Minds one of the premier events in Parrot Head Nation.
🎟️ What About VIP Registration?
At this time, VIP registration is not being offered for MOTM 2027.
We understand that many of you have enjoyed the VIP experience at previous events. Should we decide to introduce a VIP upgrade in the future, we will make that opportunity available to those who have already registered.
For now, our focus is on providing an outstanding experience for everyone attending Meeting of the Minds.
🏨 When Can We Book Our Hotel Rooms?
We know everyone is excited to secure accommodations at the beautiful Margaritaville Beach Resort in Fort Myers Beach!
Currently, our event room block is being held while we finalize room rates and booking arrangements.
Our target is to release hotel booking information in January 2027.
We do not have confirmed room rates to share at this time. However, please know that we are working diligently to negotiate the best possible pricing for our attendees.
We understand that affordability is important, and we will continue doing everything we can to keep costs reasonable while delivering the quality event you've come to expect.
For those registering during the Flash Sale, you will have the same opportunity to book accommodations when our official hotel room block opens. There is no need to rush to secure a hotel room at this time. We will communicate booking procedures, rates, and availability as soon as those details are finalized.
Please remember that hotel rooms will be subject to availability once reservations open.
🌞 Don't Forget — The Flash Sale Ends Tomorrow!
Our special introductory registration pricing is available for just a little longer!
If you're planning to join us in Fort Myers Beach for MOTM 2027, now is a great opportunity to secure your registration at a discounted rate.

❤️ Looking Ahead
Change often brings questions, and we understand that moving an event with more than three decades of history is a significant decision.
We also recognize that not everyone will agree with every decision. However, please understand that these decisions are being made thoughtfully, responsibly, and with the best interests of our members, attendees, and the future of Meeting of the Minds at heart.
Our commitment remains the same: bringing Parrot Heads together to celebrate friendship, music, community, and charitable giving.
We appreciate your enthusiasm, your feedback, and your continued support as we begin this exciting new chapter.
Meeting of the Minds has been bringing Parrot Heads together for 34 years, and our goal is to ensure that tradition continues for another 34 years and beyond!
