✋Remember NO DRONES within 15 miles of fire areas. Pass the word.

🚫 NO DRONES IN FIRE ZONES! 🚫

When a drone enters restricted airspace, all firefighting aircraft in the area must stop flying immediately. Our aircraft fly low and fast through the same airspace that drones occupy, and the risk of a mid-air collision is very real.

We're tracking a record number of drones flying in active fire zones this year. Every drone that enters firefighting airspace delays critical work in containing wildfires and puts our firefighters' lives at greater risk. Keep your drone on the ground. If you fly, we can't.

Meeting on June 17th at the Grange Hall.

Hi all, next Wednesday, June 17th at 7:00 pm please join Capay Valley Fire for a town hall meeting at the Guinda Western Yolo Grange . This is an opportunity to give feedback and ask questions of your Fire Chief, Firefighters, and Fire Commissioners, and to hear from Capay Valley Emergency Response Auxiliary about projects and progress. We'll report out on how we've used the additional funds from the Benefit Assessment (which we are NOT increasing), and the state of the matching County funding (which is NOT decreasing as far as we know).
