GCC Before and After School Care Program We are a state licensed program that provides before school care (7-9am) and after school care(3-6pm) for children ages 5 through 12 years old.

Guilford Before & After School Care is a program of the Guilford Center for Children, Inc. and receives funding from the Guilford Community Fund. Since 1978, it has been the goal of Guilford Before & After School Care to provide quality and affordable care to elementary school children. In so doing, our program enables parents to work, continue their education, or pursue other interests. The child

ren in our care are provided with a safe and relaxed environment in which they enjoy a variety of activities. Much of the creative inspiration for these activities comes from the children themselves, whose ideas and preferences are always well-regarded by the staff, who continuously strive to keep the program activities flexible and appealing. Although, as an organization, we function independently of the public school system, we maintain close, supportive ties with the professional staff of the schools in which we operate. This unique relationship affords us the opportunity to interact effectively between parents and school personnel whenever special- needs circumstances exist.
