It’s been a while …. But for good reason!

Meet Farley!! Our newest friend who is a differently abled German Shepard/Fox/Walrus. He gets along great in his wheelchair but I didn’t want him excitedly running over little feets or getting tired on our Trick or Treat loop!

Farley was in a real life house or horrors this time last year under the false pretenses of a scam rescue!! As a protector of all creatures and rescuer myself it breaks my heart that there are people out there using and abusing animals for monetary gain in just about any way possible. Not only is it dangerous for the animals but for the reputation of rescues everywhere! Real rescues are not getting the help they need because of these terrible scams. I digress…

The beautiful happy ending is that Farley will be loved and cared for every day for the rest of his life. He will have whatever he needs to thrive and stay healthy. What all animals deserve.

Welcome, Farley!! We love you, buddy 😻

Stopped at my brother’s for a visit and the pups are looking too cool for school wearing their new matching bandanas. They chose the minion pattern today but will be reversing to tie dye soon 😹 So cute!! Thanks for crafting these up, Jess! 💙

Pete🔸Potato🔸Pumpkin

This little orange dreamsicle crew is getting some NAAPS pampering after a rough life on the streets. These cuties are getting vetted, socialized and lots of TLC to get ready for adoption!

Potato is a love muffin but the other two are still skeptical. We’ll get there! 🧡🧡🧡

Making good progress on the Catio project. I will post an update with photos! Please donate and share so we can have a safe outdoor space for the kitties and for visitors and volunteers to come hang out! Thank you for your support 🫶

Attention friends! This boring old carport is in the process of being converted into a giant catio playland for all of our kitty residents! The “concrete guy” finally came today - after waiting for him all summer - and is repairing the wonky damaged slab and painting/sealing it tomorrow. His cost is $1000 😬 Then, next weekend (or the following wknd depending on stone delivery!) I need to rent a small Bobcat to dig out the missing retaining wall (muddy embankment to the left) and order crushed stone to add drainage. THEN, buy concrete blocks and mortar to rebuild the small retaining wall … purchase 2 by 4’s and 1/4” wire screen to enclose the patio in so it’s secure for curious kitties but keeps out other critters! The minimum cost will be about $2k but I am doing most of the work to save a boatload of $$$.

If you are able to contribute to this amazing project to benefit all the current and future cats here we would be so grateful! I am bad at asking for help and fund MOST expenses for the animals from the paycheck I earn from my full time job but I have so many to care for and cannot do this alone. So I am humbly and bravely requesting some support. Thank you for reading my storybook of a plea! 🫶💓😻 Happy Caturday!!
