📋 Serving as a Power of Attorney? You're Not Alone.

Being named as someone's Power of Attorney can be both an honor and a responsibility. Many agents find themselves navigating medical decisions, financial matters, and important paperwork on behalf of a loved one.

If you've recently become a Power of Attorney, take time to understand:
✔️ When your authority begins
✔️ What decisions you are authorized to make
✔️ Your responsibility to act in the person's best interest
✔️ How to keep records of important decisions and transactions

The Nebraska Department of Health and Human Services has created a helpful guide for agents serving under a Power of Attorney.

🌱 Love Gardening but Struggle with Arthritis?

Gardening offers many benefits, including exercise, stress relief, and time outdoors. If arthritis makes gardening more challenging, a few simple adjustments can help you continue enjoying one of your favorite hobbies.

Try these tips:
🧤 Wear supportive gardening gloves
🌼 Use tools with larger, cushioned handles
🪑 Garden from a raised bed or seated position
⏰ Take frequent breaks and avoid overdoing it
💧 Stay hydrated, especially during warm weather

Remember, gardening doesn't have to be done all at once. Working in shorter sessions can help reduce strain on your joints while still allowing you to enjoy the beauty of your garden.

Farmers Market Coupons will be available on Thursday, June 18th, in Blue Hill or on Friday, June 26th, in Guide Rock.

If you qualify, there are 2 things you need to bring!!

1️⃣ Proof of Age. Any of the following documents will be acceptable forms of proof of age:
🟣 Driver’s License or State Identification Card
🟣 Birth Certificate
🟣 Religious Birth Record

2️⃣ Proof of Income. Any of the following documents will be acceptable forms of proof of income:
🟣 2025 income tax return
🟣 Proof of participation in Commodities, Medicaid, SNAP, Title, or Energy Assistance programs. (Must be letter of approval not medical cards)
🟣 3 months of bank statements
