Grundy County Community Partners (GCCP), your local child abuse prevention council, has once again partnered with the Grundy County, Iowa Board of Supervisors to declare April as and in Grundy County. The Grundy County Board of Supervisors have signed proclamations for both and will be shining blue lights on the courthouse during the first two weeks of April in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month and teal lights the last two weeks of April in honor of Sexual Assault Awareness Month.

Join the community next week to discuss trends and information on cancer in Grundy County from the Iowa Cancer Registry!

Representatives from the Cancer in Iowa: 99 Counties Project will share Grundy County–specific cancer data and invite community conversation on Thursday, January 15, from 10 to 11 a.m. This meeting, sponsored by state and county partners, will focus on cancer trends, statistics, and risk factors affecting Grundy County.

The event will be held in person at Grundy County Memorial Hospital and will also be available virtually. Community members are encouraged to attend, register, and share this opportunity with others.
