Great news! The Mikaela Naylon Give Kids a Chance Act has passed the House of Representatives!

Next stop: the Senate.

We deeply appreciate everyone who contacted their congressman. Your voice really matters, and you helped make this happen. Thank you for standing with children fighting cancer.

Now, let's get this bill across the finish line!

If anyone is near or in DC. CureFest for Childhood Cancer has their Survior/fighter and Angel tribute walls up this weekend. 🎗

Julia "Juju" Chavez is featured on their Angel wall, 1 of hundreds of children. They also have a survivor/fighter wall for all the kids who have or are battling childhood cancer. 💛

This event brings childhood cancer awareness to DC each year. One day we will get more than cents on the dollar for Pediatric cancer research. Until we do we will continue to bring awareness!

In uniting with organizations like CureFest, and Blood Cancer United we can help children and families impacted by cancer. CureFest hosts seminars for families fighting and bereaved alike, to remember and celebrate these kids.

I hope someone can send a picture back of Juju on the wall!

September is Childhood Cancer awareness month 💛🎗
A month to remember all children surviving, fighting, and in memory.
Of course Juju will always be my reason , but there are so many children who have fought and survived Cancer that have touched my heart. We celebrate the lives of the strongest souls in the smallest bodies.

I got the email this morning from CureFest for Childhood Cancer with the lost of names for their tribute wall that will be honoring all the children fighting, surviving, and angels of Leukemia. Julia, Juju Strong will be featured this year! Just another way of honoring my sweet girl. As I looked, I saw there were a few more "Juju"'s fighting blood cancer.
87 pages of names. Thousands of children.
This is why I support LLS, now Blood Cancer United , Blood Cancer United - Georgia , for her and the hundreds of thousands of kids like Juju.
I miss you every day my Angel. I'll see you when I get there.

Julia will be featured on the CureFest Angel Tribute Wall in Washington DC this September 🎗 on Sunday September 21, a display of over 1800 pairs of shoes will be displayed at the base of the Washington Monument, this powerful memorial will pay tribute to the children who have passed away from cancer. Their shoes, carefully shipped and displayed. 🧡

We're making a change this year to save families time! Over 2,000 families won't need to resubmit their tributes.

Why This Change? We heard from families that it was sometimes hard to remember if they'd already submitted for the current year. This new process means thousands of families will not need to resubmit.

Here are the details:

🎗️ IF YOU SUBMITTED IN 2024: You don't need to do ANYTHING! Your child will automatically be included on the 2025 Tribute Wall unless you want to make changes such as a new photo, status or text.
