⚾GNLL NEEDS YOU — 2027 BOARD OF DIRECTORS⚾

The future of Groves National Little League depends on the volunteers who are willing to step up and serve our players, families, and community.

As we look ahead to the 2027 season, we are asking members of the GNLL family to seriously consider volunteering for the 2027 GNLL Board of Directors.

This is more than simply holding a position. It is an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of local children, help provide them with a positive baseball experience, and ensure that GNLL continues to be a great place for kids to learn, compete, build friendships, and grow.

GNLL has been serving the children of our community for decades, and keeping this organization strong requires people who are willing to give their time, energy, ideas, and commitment.

If you have ever thought about getting more involved, now is the time to step up. You do not have to have previous board experience. What matters most is that you care about our kids and are willing to contribute.

As we wrap up another great season, we invite all members of the Groves National Little League family to join us for our 2026 Year-End Board Meeting.

A special congratulations to Groves National Little League alumnus Khristian Curtis on making his Major League Baseball debut today!

🚨KHRISTIAN CURTIS TO MAKE MLB DEBUT TODAY🚨

A dream realized for Port Neches-Groves alum Khristian Curtis.

Curtis is set to make his Major League debut today in Cleveland, earning a spot as the 27th man for a doubleheader — a move that also places him on the 40-man roster. The call-up comes as his club looks to counter a lineup heavy with left-handed hitters.

He joins Ben Weber (2000-2005) and Lew Ford (2003-2012) as the only PNG players to play in the big leagues!

The Southeast Texas product has shown strikeout stuff all season, tallying 97 punchouts in 74.1 innings across Double-A and Triple-A. In Indianapolis, he’s continued to flash potential — including a recent outing where he allowed just one hit over 4.1 innings while striking out six.

Now, the next chapter begins — from PNG to the big leagues.

Game 1 is at 12:10pm and Game 2 is at 6:10pm. Both games can be seen on MLB TV. We will have highlights of his MLB debut tonight at 6pm and 10pm on 12NewsNow

Groves National Little League has always been built on the dedication of volunteers who are passionate about providing the best experience possible for our players and families. As we begin planning for the 2027 season, we are looking for individuals who are ready to step up, serve, and help continue the proud tradition of GNLL.
