We are a non-profit fraternal organization for young men between the ages of 12 and 21. DeMolay is an organization dedicated to preparing young men to lead successful, happy, and productive lives. Basing its approach on timeless principles and practical, hands-on experience, DeMolay opens doors for young men aged 12 to 21 by developing the civic awareness, personal responsibility and leadership sk

ills so vitally needed in society today. DeMolay combines this serious mission with a fun approach that builds important bonds of friendship among members in more than 1,000 chapters worldwide. DeMolay alumni include Walt Disney, John Wayne, Walter Cronkite, football Hall-of-Famer Fran Tarkenton, legendary Nebraska football coach Tom Osborne, news anchor David Goodnow and many others. Each has spoken eloquently of the life-changing benefit gained from their involvement in DeMolay.

Our Installation of Officers was this evening, installing Master Councilor Malachi and his corps of officers. We also celebrated a great term led by Braden with several awards earned along the way. We are looking forward to a different, but fun term for the next 6 months!

NAMI Walk Round 2!

This year our SMC and Chapter member, Coleman Leach, issued challenges to the DeMolay Chapters in Ohio to complete at least one event supporting mental health awareness each term. Today, we walked in a NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) walk in Circleville that was a color walk theme. We ended the walk very colorful and we are proud to support this cause and Coleman in his efforts to promote mental health awareness!

Malachi, Jonathan, and Coleman traveled to Belpre this evening to present the Ohio DeMolay Tribute to Motherhood to the OES Chapter in Belpre in honor of Mother’s Day this weekend. They, along with Brother Bryce from Rufus Putnam Chapter in Marietta represented our Chapters and Ohio DeMolay extremely well!

MC Braden, on behalf of the members of our Chapter, attended our sponsoring Lodge’s stated meeting to show off some hardware and thank the Lodge members for their support of the Chapter going to Heartland. He also helped Dad Nelson give our quarterly “State of the Chapter” report to the Lodge. While there, Braden also gave a ritual presentation to the Lodge for the education portion of their meeting that was received with excitement from the members.

The chapter went to an escape room today. The young men, including a prospect, did an Alcatraz theme while the adults did a Sherlock Holmes theme. As illustrated in the first couple of pictures, the young men didn’t have great success while the adults completed it with time to spare! Regardless, a great time was had by all!
