You don't need dinner tickets to bring the kids to enjoy the Pumpkin Patch so be sure to bring them by tomorrow. The Pumpkin Patch opens Saturday at 3 pm at the Bairds lot (between the Community Hall and the Furniture Barn). All pumpkins just $4 each ... with carving/painting, and games for the kids ... free!

Maggie Bean will be selling her beautiful glass-blown pumpkins (two sizes) beginning at 3 pm also. You don't want to miss those.

Then at 5 pm you can join your friends for a BBQ quarter chicken dinner complete with salad and baked potato bar. Tickets are $30 per person today, and $35 on Saturday.

Great news! Maggie Bean will be attending the Pumpkin Fest and BBQ Dinner ... and she'll be bringing friends with her ... yes, her beautifully hand-blown pumpkins and they will be for sale!

If you already have one, well, typically one is never enough. If you haven't brought one home yet, well, this your opportunity. She will be offering two sizes of pumpkins ($20 and $40) and a very cute ghost! You can come see Maggie beginning at 3 pm.

Remember, the Pumpkin Patch (just $4 for each pumpkin no matter the size) with carving/painting and free games for the kids.

There really is a yellow brick road in Groveland. Yes, it's Hwy 120 and you can see it honored right outside the Hotel Charlotte along with the B**r Can Man just in time for Halloween.

Created by Shirley Horn and brought to life by an Around The Horn Brewing CompanyThirsty Miner Mug Club member Doug Wilson, it's creativity at its best that you don't want to miss seeing up close and personal.

And, to no surprise, Barbara Bussler, is the contributor of both the authentic Octoberfest body and the yellow brick road.

What teamwork! And what fun, with Rachel topping it all off adding the final touches - bar towel ghosts! This is one Fall/Halloween ground planter you must check out!

The Grade to Gate Foundation Pumpkin Fest and BBQ Chicken dinner is just a few days away. Do you have your tickets? They are $30 per person now (kids 5 and under eat free) and $35 at the park.

Downtown Groveland is sure lookin' very Fall and Halloween festive. Today we're revealing another fabulous addition to the Hotel Charlotte row of gold vein ground planters... completed by Nic of the Pine Cone Performers.

Meet Chuck (Dickens, of course) bringing a touch of the Winter Holiday spirit to Halloween! Well done and so much fun! The Grade to Gate Foundation is ever so thankful for the enthusiasm from both participants and admirers alike! Such community spirit.

One of Groveland's newest brick and mortar locations - Willow and Pine - has decorated a ground planter on Main Street and it looks just awesome.

Soft bo ho colors (of course pumpkins come in blue) and the same charm as the shop! Shop owner, Bri, did a super job!

Where do I find it? Right outside the Hotel Charlotte front door. You can't miss it. And a plus for Willow and Pine? Well you can find the shop tucked perfectly in the corner of the Mountain Leisure Shopping Center. Everything inside is made by local artisans and the variety is fabulous!

Thank you, Bri, for joining in spirit of decorating for Fall/Halloween. Downtown Groveland is looking pretty darn fabulous and we are so excited for all the enthusiasm.

Is there a Pumpkin Patch in Groveland? YES! Is there a BBQ celebrating Fall? YES!

When: Saturday, October 3
The Pumpkin Patch opens at 3pm. All pumpkins just $4 each ... and they're a great size, There will be pumpkin painting or carving, pumpkin tic tac toe, pumpkin ring toss, and pumpkin putting for the kids. View below is from the Bairds toward Main Street.

The BBQ dinner is at 5pm (kids under 5 eat free) $30 per person in advance ($35 the night of the BBQ). W**e, b**r, and soft drinks available for purchase.

Where: The Bairds lot which is on Main Street between the Community Hall and the Furniture Barn (see photo below)

Details: Tablecloth covered round tables and a cute centerpiece for raffle. Come in costume (not required) and enjoy a nice Fall evening with friends and family in a quaint and comfortable atmosphere.

Benefit: The Grate to Gate Beautification program which removes Main Street garbage and plants season flowers in the hanging and ground planters.

It's Tuesday morning and, yes, there's a new beautifully decorated ground planter on Groveland's Main Street. We've named it the Confer Cornucopia.

Take a walk by Trail Less Traveled Bike and Gear and you cannot miss it right up front! Super huge thanks to Kendra from Conifer Communications who didn't hesitate one moment when the Grade to Gate Foundation reached out to the community to decorate.

"Yes, yes," she emailed. "We want one!" And it's beautiful. Check out the crafted sign and the planter full of bright fall colors. And you can't miss the Conifer dish ... right? Clever.

Well done Conifer Communications! And thank you Kendra for throwing your hat in the ring and getting involved in your community.

You may want to start walking downtown Groveland daily this week as there will be quite a few wonderful surprises added each day.

It began Sunday morning when Helping Hands decorated their ground planter located right in front of their shop.

Patti arrived with bags of goodies ...and we mean bags. Clip, snip, tuck, and retuck and soon she made this beautiful display to celebrate Fall. Patti even solicited the help of a passer by in order to add the Fall placard atop the trellis. She's not shy for sure, and the young man was eager to help.

In case you didn't know, a few weeks ago the Grade to Gate Foundation offered local companies, non profits, groups, and individuals the opportunity to identify a planter and decorate it for Fall/Halloween. We thought it a great chance for the community to get involved and help make our beloved Groveland festive. We can't wait to see how everyone decorates.

Spent this morning prepping the Bairds lot for the upcoming Pumpkin Fest BBQ and Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, October 3 from 3p to 7p.

We raked and flattened the lot where we will have seating for 60 ... round tables and white tablecloths. Added lights to the trees for a very cool evening effect. Set up a lighted spider web (spider coming later) for photo ops ... and much more.

In addition to a BBQ Chicken Dinner just $30 per person (kids 5 and under are free) there will be a Pumpkin Patch for the kids with carving/painting and games. W**e, b**r, and soft drinks available for purchase.

It's all about celebrating fall and fundraising money so we can continue to plant seasonal flowers and fund the garbage and recycling program, keeping Main Street clean and beautiful for both visitors and guests.
