To the mothers serving within GFD, thank you for your dedication, strength, and sacrifice. Whether you’re answering calls, supporting your crew, or going home after shift to take care of your family, your impact reaches far beyond the firehouse walls.

We want to also thank the mothers, wives, grandmothers who support us from home while we serve our community. Your patience, love, and support never go unnoticed.

Strong work these past few Days.💪

GFD hosted our first shift friendly Truck Ops class and had 3 of our own members complete it alongside 9 firefighters from Minneola, The Villages, Mount Dora and Tavares. Solid turnout and even better effort across the board.

We would like to give a huge thanks to the all the Instructors from the participating departments for putting in the time and making it happen, and to Leesburg Fire Rescue for opening up their training grounds and supporting the training.

This is exactly how we get better by putting in the reps together and building stronger crews across departments.
