🐣 It was a truly wonderful experience at the 1st Annual Sensory Friendly Easter Egg Hunt, in partnership with ! 
🐣 100 VIP (special needs & neurodiverse) individuals were preregistered, and 200 attended. With Hope Torchlighters being a trusted resource since 2018, some VIP families came from as far as 4 hours away to participate.
🐣 On behalf of Hope Torchlighters and , we want to thank the for hosting the City’s 1st Sensory Easter Egg Hunt at Cherry Lake Park—one of the newest parks in Groveland.
🐣 The AMAZING bilingual advocate of Luzel Garcia, Founder, The Dream Academy, a K-12 school that is open for students with various disabilities. thedreamacademyfl.com
🐣 The other WONDERFUL advocate of Tania Santos, representing WeSpeak: Parent Support Group of Lake County (founded by our dear friend & founding community resource Kandi Lynn Alexander).
📸 🎨 We also want to highlight two (2) incredible professional services that, without them, the day would have been incomplete.

🐣 Egg-citing news! As part of Easter celebration at Cherry Lake Park, the City has partnered with our own , led by our Special Needs Pastor , to host two sensory-friendly Easter egg hunts! These free hunts are designed for VIPs (children and individuals with sensory or special-needs sensitivities), so registration is required.

🎄 Christmas can look different for VIP (special needs and neurodiverse) families.

🎄 For us, the best way to celebrate is by finding joy in each moment and cherishing what happens around us.

🎄 Whether it's something as simple as taking a stroll in the neighborhood to see the Christmas lights (without any instances of elopement or sensory processing distress) or sitting at the table with cousins and actually making eye contact when they speak, these are the moments that truly define a family.

🎄 No matter how happiness and joy manifest for your family, remember to celebrate every single win!
