After much prayer, discussion, and careful consideration, we have decided not to move forward as a Friends of the NRA chapter and instead form our own independent 501(c)(3) organization serving the Grand Lake area.

This decision was not made lightly.
Over the past several years, ongoing internal disputes, legal conflicts, and political infighting within the NRA and its affiliated fundraising organizations have created uncertainty and distraction from what matters most to us:
supporting youth shooting sports, education, safety, and local community programs—free from national politics.

By forming an independent nonprofit, we are choosing:

• Local control and transparency

• Clear stewardship of donated funds

• A singular focus on youth, education, and safety

• Freedom from national political conflicts

We remain committed to the Second Amendment, responsible fi****ms education, and building the next generation with integrity, discipline, and respect—but we believe this path best serves our community right now.
