Congratulations to AWARE, Inc Mercer County Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency on the opening of the new location of the Brandi Montgomery House! The beautifully renovated house is ready for new residents and families seeking shelter from domestic violence and sexual violence.

Many wonderful organizations showed up to celebrate and speak on the new shelter: Executive Director Amy Foley from the Grove City United Way, Commissioner Chair Ann Coleman the Mercer County Commissioner accompanied by the other commissioners Bill Finley Jr. and Timothy M. McGonigle, CEO Nate Gressel from George Junior Republic, State Senator Michelle Brooks, Mercer County Sheriff Tim Callahan, Executive Director Beth Black from the Grove City Chamber and, Executive Director Megan McConahy and her amazing team from AWARE - and many many others!

Thanks to everyone who showed up yesterday, and thank you to everyone for their continued support of this amazing and important organization.

With a new school year underway, we want to acknowledge our 2026 Grove City Area United Way David and Kathleen Cashdollar Community Service Award Scholarship recipient, Lexi Mathieson!!! Lexi’s dedication to not only her own community, but in regional communities as well, is admirable. She has given back to lift others up and make our world a better place.
