Leusden Leusden is an event with one purpose. On September 26th we will gather together as a community to take a stand against modern slavery. No More Slaves.

Leusden is powered by Liberate International, INC. A 501c3 organization powered solely by volunteers. This and Leusden's great sponsors allow every dollar raised to go directly towards the fight against modern slavery.

Leusden is named after a dutch slave ship which sank in what has been described as the biggest single tragedy of the Atlantic slave trade. As the ship went down its captain ordered the crew to send the slaves below deck and nail the hatch shut. This way they wouldn't be able to fight for the few life boats available. On that day 664 lives were lost as the crew and captain did nothing. We will no longer do nothing. We will stand in memory of the 664 lives lost that day as well as against the 20 million or more lives harmed by modern slavery today.
