What an incredible way to wrap up our week in Kenya. 🇰🇪❤️
Day 5 brought us back to Legacy of Hope Academy for one final morning with the students. We taught a lesson on the importance of keeping their campus clean, talked about caring for the environment by not littering, put the finishing touches on our mural, and shared our final goodbyes with so many amazing children who completely stole our hearts.
To complete our day, we stopped at a local gold mining village to learn about their way of life before enjoying lunch overlooking the breathtaking shores of Lake Victoria.
After an unforgettable week of serving, it was finally time to experience one of God’s most incredible creations.
Days 6 & 7 took us into the Maasai Mara for an experience I’ll never forget. We were fortunate enough to witness the Great Wildebeest Migration—one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Watching hundreds of thousands of animals cross the Mara in person is something that simply can’t be described. We also saw lions, elephants, giraffes, zebras, warthogs, baboons, hippos, crocodiles, and so much more in their natural habitat.
As if that wasn’t enough, we started the next morning with a sunrise hot air balloon flight over the Mara. Floating silently above the wildlife as the sun came up was one of the most breathtaking experiences of my life. We finished the morning with a champagne breakfast in the bush surrounded by the African wilderness.
100/10. Absolutely unforgettable.
Now it’s time to head back to Nairobi and begin the journey home.
This trip wasn’t just about what we gave—it was about everything we received in return. The smiles, the friendships, the perspective, the gratitude, and the reminder that serving others has a way of changing your own heart.
Thank you to our incredible Hands2Serve team, our Kenyan partners, and everyone who supported this mission from home. Together we made a difference, and Kenya has once again left a permanent mark on our hearts.
Until next time… Asante sana. ❤️🇰🇪
