We are incredibly grateful yet again to The Legacy Foundation of Tompkins County for awarding Groton Community Health Care Center a $5,000 grant! 💙

Because of your generosity, we were able to purchase an OmniCycle through Accelerated Care Plus (ACP), one of the most recognized rehabilitation equipment companies in the world.

This incredible technology means that 100% of our residents will have the opportunity to participate in therapeutic cycling tailored to their individual abilities.

The OmniCycle will allow our rehabilitation team to provide meaningful rehabilitation, movement, and exercise opportunities to residents who previously had very limited options. It is so much more than a piece of equipment. It is an opportunity for increased mobility, engagement, independence, and quality of life.

It is difficult to put into words just how exciting this is for our rehabilitation team and, more importantly, for the residents who will benefit from this incredible technology.

📢 A Friendly Community Update

We wanted to share a quick update with our residents, families, staff, and community members so everyone is informed and prepared.

We received notice from Spectrum, our internet and TV provider, that they will be completing a scheduled service update in the Groton area August 11–13, between 11:00 PM and 8:00 AM.

During these overnight hours, our television, internet, and phone services may experience temporary interruptions or disruptions. We have been in communication with Spectrum, and we understand that this is a planned update that should be a smooth process.

Most importantly, our residents’ daily activities, services, and meals will not be disrupted. Our team is prepared to make sure our residents continue to have a comfortable and enjoyable experience throughout the overnight hours. We will have plenty of activities available, including books, games, puzzles, music, downloaded movies, and other ways to stay entertained.

Our staff will continue to monitor the situation and keep our residents, families, and community updated as needed.
