Thank you to everyone who stopped by our Open House at the 1912 Jail a few weekends ago. It was great to see so many people interested in Groton's history.
A special thank you to our volunteers for making the event a success and assisting with the renovation. We couldn't do it without your time and dedication.

Thank you to everyone who helped the Groton, SD Community Historical Society with the Jail Restoration Fundraiser. I’m thankful for all of the help at the pancake feeds and those who enjoyed eating them and the generous donations. I’m also very thankful for all of the people who bought tickets to win the golf cart and all of the people who sold the tickets.
The drawing for the golf cart was held live at the Legion Turkey Party last fall. The winner was a person from Britton who elected to take the optional cash offer. All other cash prizes were also awarded.
After trying to sell the cart for four months a reasonable offer was accepted. Yeah !!!!
Good job to everyone who helped in anyway.
