Food trucks open and music begins at 5 p.m., followed by the lighting of the bonfire at 6:30 p.m.

In honor of America’s 250th anniversary, Chelsea Groton team members celebrated Acts of Kindness by directing $250 each to a nonprofit of their choice. Krissa Beene selected THE RIVERFRONT CHILDREN'S CENTER as the recipient of her Acts of Kindness donation, a place where her children learn and grow every day. She is grateful for the center’s play-based learning approach and the safe, supportive environment it provides.

Riverfront is unique because we offer our own in-house scholarships, in addition to subsidies that help hardworking families afford essential early learning. Generous annual grants from Charter Oak Federal Credit Union ensure that eligible children are never turned away for inability to pay. We are so grateful for their support!
