Secular SAI Michigan The Sholem Aleichem Institute is a secular non-political Jewish organization Our choral group sings at these assemblies.

The Sholem Aleichem Institute is a secular non-political Jewish organization which for more than 75 years has provided its members and the community with meaningful educational, cultural and social activities. We celebrate the Jewish holidays with creative observances which cover the full sweep of Jewish history. Each year opens with Rosh Hashana, Kol Nidre and Yom Kippur assemblies held at the We

st Bloomlield Middle School and are open to the public. Makhzorim developed by our members with readings, poetry and songs in English, Yiddish and Hebrew are used. At the Kol Nidre assembly a symphonic trio enchants the assemblage with moving selections from our Jewish repertoire. Sukkot, Chanukah, Purim, Passover and Shevuot are celebrated with readings, music, holiday food and close camaraderie. Each month throughout the year we hold one or two Onegey Shabbat with speakers or panel discussions on varied topics of Jewish interest.
