In January, we were birding in Patterson Park and Geoff got a straight overhead shot of a Rough-legged Hawk in flight. Amazing. We caught a bit of a break when it veered into the wind and slowed to a stop briefly. Likewise,on September 3, 2019 at Lake St. Clair Metro Park, I got a big break when a Bonaparte’s Gull was stuck in the wind right by me and low at that. Got a long look.
We met chasing birds including the Kirtlands Warbler at the Detroit Athletic Club in Downtown Detroit. Then he got me set up on Discord, so I follow his posts. Geoff is Moderator for Wayne County chat and recently established Ghesquire Park as an Ebird Hotspot. Ford House is also a Hotspot. He has visited all 190 Hotspots in Wayne County already this year.
So this is a new eBird feature for Hotspots in close proximity. One eBird checklist of 27 species over 7 locations.

Past President Bill brought our Logo to life in 2001 and now we have our GPA Logo on a 13 x 13 tote bag 25 years later in our 60th anniversary year.
Anna provided me with a PDF file which I provided to Print Xpress.

I always contend that GPA membership is the best buy in Birding and now we have the best buy in toting, $10.00!
