🚨 🐕 🎅 K-9 Arcos’ Christmas Wish - Patrol Vehicle Fundraiser 🎅 🐕 🚨

The City of Grosse Pointe Woods has asked the Foundation, in conjunction with the Grosse Pointe Animal Adoption Society, to raise funds for their new Public Safety K-9 partner, Arcos. While Arcos is finishing his training, the Foundation is raising funds to help specifically with the purchase of a specialized patrol vehicle. The Public Safety department is looking to purchase a Chevy Tahoe that is equipped with features needed to keep Arcos safe and effective including remote door opener, crush protection cage, window guards, temperature controls etc.

Arcos will play a vital role in missing person searches, school safety programs, tracking/apprehending criminals, narcotics detection not only in Grosse Pointe Woods- but across all of the Grosse Pointes and Harper Woods as needed.

The cost of the vehicle is approximately $100,000 and will be ordered by year end for delivery before Arcos finishes training in February.

Hob Nobbin’ is always a fun event! We staffed the mini-golf course again this year and passed out 300 bouncy balls and a TON of treats. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to see us!
