A huge thank you to the Kiwanis Club of Grosse Ile, MI for generously funding and installing the 250th Anniversary banners along Macomb Street!

These beautiful banners celebrate the rich history of both Grosse Ile and our nation while adding color and character to our downtown district. As we commemorate this milestone anniversary, the banners serve as a wonderful reminder of the people, places, and events that have shaped our community over the past 250 years.

Be sure to take a stroll down Macomb Street and check them out for yourself!

🌸✂️ Ribbon Cutting Celebration! 🧋🌸

The Grosse Ile Downtown Development Authority is thrilled to celebrate the ribbon cutting for Elle & Lily’s Bloom Cottage, a unique floral and boba tea shop located in the heart of the DDA district at 24201 Meridian Road, Suite 1, Grosse Ile, MI.

Owner Sabina Jules relocated to Grosse Ile with her family and has quickly become an active member of our community. In addition to opening this wonderful new business, Sabina also serves as the newest member of the DDA Board.

We are excited to welcome another locally owned business to the downtown district and look forward to seeing Elle & Lily's Bloom Cottage continue to grow and thrive on Grosse Ile!

The Grosse Ile DDA is bringing Island Nights back to Macomb Street this summer & we want YOU on the lineup.

Pop up a shop for one night or all three: June 19, July 17, and August 21, 6–9 PM.

First up: Island Nights on Macomb - June 19th

Spots are limited but completely free. We just want to give local vendors a space to grow their business. Vendors are notified within 4 business days of signing up.

A huge thank you to Grosse Ile Scouting America Troop 1261 for crafting the oars that will be featured in our "Decorate Oar Be Left Out" contest during Island Summer Nights on June 19th!

Local businesses will be decorating and displaying these handcrafted oars outside their storefronts as part of a fun Macomb Street-wide competition celebrating Grosse Ile's maritime heritage. Event attendees will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite oar throughout the evening, and the winning business will be recognized at the July DDA Meeting.

We are incredibly grateful to Boyscout Troop 1261 for their time, craftsmanship, and community spirit. Their hard work has helped make this unique event possible, and we can't wait to see the creativity our businesses bring to the contest!

Be sure to visit Island Summer Nights on June 19th from 6-9PM, view the decorated oars, support our local businesses, and cast your vote!
