KAA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit empowering adults with disabilities to thrive in the community through three program pillars: Creative Arts, Work & Job Readiness, and Community-Based Programming. Together they are committed to building live, work, and play options for adults with disabilities. Ken Anderson Foundation was established in January 2014, by a group of individuals that shared an vision an

d dedicated to the same goal. KAF's mission is to build a housing development with some of the residences specialized for adults living with autism and other developmental disabilities. It will be a place to live affordably, safely, and comfortably while being part of a larger community. Autism is a lifelong struggle for both affected individuals and their families. By the year 2030 the number of adults living with autism is expected to increase by 625% compared to the 2010 figures. Please support our mission as we strive to make this vision a reality.

Have you heard of KAA Night Out?

It's one of two Community Evening Programs at KAA, where adults with disabilities have fun, connect with others, and build the confidence to navigate their community.

Night Out works a little differently β€” a small group of adults plans their own weekly activities together, choosing where to go and what to do. Recent outings have included dinner and the latest blockbuster at a local cinema, exploring Rookwood Commons followed by dinner, and testing skills on a local mini-golf course followed by snacks.

πŸŽ‰ Celebrating our July anniversaries!

Behind every outing, every class, and every new friendship at KAA is a team that shows up with heart. This month we're celebrating two of them:

John Marquart β€” 1 year
Ava Strole β€” 3 years

John and Ava, your commitment shows up in the daily work of helping adults with disabilities build independence, friendships, and a real place in their community.

Thank you both! 🧑
