The Groesbeck Study Club is a service organization that is dedicated to serving our community and our schools. We give school supplies to our schools every year and we give food to our local food bank every year too. We pick a deserving family each Christmas and give them food and clothes and presents for the children. We give out a Woman of the Year award at the Chamber of Commerce Banquet in Jan
uary every year. We help with the fundraisers for the Library and the hospital every year. We give out Scholarships and Academic Award Blankets every year and we raise these funds through our annual fundraiser of selling 1 lb bags of Pecan Halves and Pieces and Walnuts between the months of September thru Christmas. In the past, we organized and ran the Red Stocking Follies production through which we were able to raise money to erect and later expand the Groesbeck Civic Center and help with air conditioning the elementary school. Even though the Follies have been discontinued, some funds that were donated to the City of Groesbeck were used to erect the new Groesbeck Convention Center. We meet at the Groesbeck Woman's Club most months. Our club year is from September thru May of each year. We welcome any woman from the Groesbeck area to become a member of our club.
