Little League Families and Friends - See the attached fliers for registering for the 2024 baseball and softball season. With the change in many board members, so comes changes in the program. We are so excited to see where the new program can go to support children and their skills in baseball and softball in our community.

Minors 2023 Little League All Stars experience has been…interesting. Due to a paperwork snafu at the district level, the team was incorrectly placed in the wrong age bracket for the district tournament. This was discovered after game 1 and were reassigned to the correct age bracket. However…there were no other teams in this age bracket for our district so we had no other games to play and were automatically considered the district champs which meant a trip to the state tournament-if the team wanted to go. The boys wanted to play, the parents voted to play (hopefully without feeling like they were “sold” on going to state) and the team just got done with their state games. The games didn’t go the way we hoped, but the boys had fun! Thanks so much coach Cigi for jumping in, in a pinch, and coaching the team. Their banner didn’t arrive in time for a team picture before they left but here’s a picture of them celebrating with it at state. Way to go Minors boys.

Wishing these guys the best this week as they represent Grinnell at Little League State Baseball in Urbandale at Northview Park! They play at 8pm today, 3:00 Sunday, 7:00 Monday, 5:00 Tuesday and 5:00 Wednesday.

Let’s play ball!!! Rain won’t stop us!! The Ahren’s Park field crew has beeen working hard to get our field ready for tonight’s All Stars match up between Grinnell and Osky!

Come on out and cheer on our Grinnell Little League Majors All Stars at 6:00pm. All candy, drinks and popcorn will be $1 and hot food will be $3!!

Congratulations to the Grinnell High School boys baseball and girls softball teams on their respective seasons. We know many of them started in little league and we also know our current little leaguers look up to their Tiger role models! Huge thanks and congrats to the seniors on each squad for setting the example for their current teammates as well as for the future Tigers.

They did it again!!! Game 2 of 3 against New Sharon for these Grinnell Little League All Stars Majors!! Another WIN!! Thank you to all the family, friends and baseball lovers that came to watch tonight!

Grinnell Little League Major baseball team will be playing three games this week! Road to State will go through Pella on 7-10 at 6:00pm. The next two games will be in Grinnell against New Sharon on 7-11 and Osky on 7-12. The two games at home start at 6:00pm at Ahrens Park.
