The Politics of Artificial Intelligence will be the theme of the Rosenfield Program 2024 spring break tour, co-sponsored by the CLS Government, Law, and Policy (GLP) Career Community. The tour will travel to Washington D.C., March 18 – 23, the first week of spring break. Students of all majors and class years are invited to apply.

Information sessions will be held on Wednesday, November 8 at 7 pm in JRC 209 and on Monday, November 13 at 4:15 pm in HSSC*N1112.

Applications are due on Wednesday, November 29 at 11:59 pm.

She will also discuss how the canons and rules work in practice. Judge Mueller's visit is sponsored by the Rosenfield Program, and is part of the 'Courts in the U.S.: Modern Challenges, Historical Foundation symposium'. She is a Chief Judge in the United States District Court from the Eastern District of California.

Scholars’ Convocation: Politics, Ethical Quandaries, and Demise of State Decisis and the Fragile Legitimacy of the U.S. Supreme Court

Thurs., Sept. 21, 11 a.m., HSSC A1231 or Webex

Mario Barnes, professor of law and co-director of the Center on Law, Equality, and Race at the University of California-Irvine, will discuss whether the public legitimacy of the U.S. Supreme Court and its decisions have been undermined by recent occurrences related to ethics, political ideology, and deferring to existing legal precedents.
