✨ AN EVENING OF CLASSICAL BALLET ✨

Join us for V.A.B. Gala 2026 — a special evening celebrating the artistry, discipline, and achievements of our students while supporting the V.A.B. Merit Scholarship Fund.

Since 2020, VAB has awarded over $60,000 in scholarships to talented and dedicated young dancers. These awards help ensure that exceptional students are not limited by financial or geographic circumstances, providing access to high-quality classical ballet training and artistic opportunities that might otherwise be out of reach.

Under the direction of Summer Reed and with the mentorship of internationally respected ballet master Nikoloz Makhateli, VAB students have received exceptional training and opportunities while remaining right here in Southwestern Pennsylvania. Our dancers have earned recognition, scholarships, invitations, and awards at nationally and internationally respected ballet competitions and training programs.

This year’s Gala will feature a restaging of the Imperial Ballet classic The Awakening of Flora, alongside original choreography created specifically for VAB students by Nikoloz Makhateli.

These classes are designed for serious dancers ages 11+ seeking high-level classical training, artistry development, and coaching experience in a professional environment.

Final Round of Senior Women at Youth America Grand Prix Finals, company class opportunities, new experiences, new connections, and so much growth packed into one unforgettable week in Houston.

BellaRose Penrose has officially made it to the final round here at YAGP Houston Finals and was excited to be invited to take company class with Houston Ballet today.

As a teacher, there are moments you dream about quietly for years — and then one day, you’re standing there watching them happen in real time.

Watching Bella begin to spread her wings after a decade of training together has been one of the most rewarding and emotional experiences of my life. 🥹

We are deeply grateful to Youth America Grand Prix for creating a platform that gives young dancers opportunities to grow, connect, and be seen. Experiences like these truly change lives!
