GVSS volunteers Tom Letsch and Mary Claseman attended the Grimes Chamber of Commerce First Responder Appreciation Luncheon on August 14. The event gave the community an opportunity to thank our firefighters and first responders for their service.
GVSS held a drawing for two duffel bags and a picnic blanket. Sheriff Kevin Schneider was one of the winners, along with two other first responders.
Thank you to all our first responders for everything you do for the Grimes community

Our hearts are full… but our volunteer list isn’t.
Grimes Volunteer Support Services (GVSS) is in desperate need of volunteers to continue helping our neighbors with rides, friendly visits, errands, and other essential services that allow seniors and adults with disabilities to remain independent.
Even giving just a few hours a month can make a life-changing difference for someone in our community.
If you’ve ever thought about volunteering, this is the time. You’ll gain so much more than you give.
