We remain thankful for the opportunity to serve incarcerated youth at Lake County Juvenile Center. This month we discussed substance use prevention, values, and healthy relationships. If you are a creative who has a passion for these youth please contact us to get involved!

East Chicago Boys and Girls Club Band Students finished the spring session with a community concert. We are so proud of our students and can’t wait to see what instrument they learn this summer!

CROCS & CANVASS
Our youth putting their artistic skills into play!!!! Making crocs and painting on a canvass. Arts and crafts are good for youth wellness because they help young people express themselves, reduce stress, and build confidence. Creative activities also improve focus, problem-solving skills, and social connections when done in groups. Making art gives youth a healthy outlet for emotions while encouraging creativity and a sense of accomplishment.
