⛳️ Griffin Lions Club at the Griffin Chamber Golf Tournament! 🦁

The Griffin Lions Club was proud to participate in the annual tournament hosted by the Griffin-Spalding Chamber of Commerce at the beautiful Griffin Golf Course!

This event is more than a day on the green — it’s an opportunity to invest directly in our community. Funds raised through today’s efforts will support humanitarian services benefiting the citizens of Griffin-Spalding County, including assistance programs, community outreach initiatives, and service projects that make a lasting impact.

The Griffin Lions Club was honored to welcome Captain Rocky White, Fire Marshal for Spalding County Fire Department, as our featured guest speaker at our recent monthly meeting.

Captain White shared valuable insight on upcoming programs and development projects that will impact Spalding County. His update highlighted continued growth, strategic planning, and a strong commitment to protecting our community while supporting responsible development.

In appreciation for his informative presentation and dedicated service, Captain White was presented with a plaque of appreciation by our Program Chairman, Max Gallman (pictured below).

We are grateful for Captain White’s leadership and for taking the time to keep our members informed about what’s ahead for Spalding County.

Griffin Lions Club Receives CGEMC Grant to Support Vision Services!

The Griffin Lions Club is proud to announce that we have recently received a generous grant from Central Georgia EMC (CGEMC) to support our ongoing humanitarian efforts focused on vision care in our community.

A portion of these funds will be used to service and maintain one of our vision screening machines, ensuring it remains in top working condition to continue detecting vision concerns early. The remaining funds will directly assist qualified individuals in receiving essential vision services, helping provide eye exams, glasses, and access to critical care.

This partnership strengthens our mission to protect and preserve sight for those in need. We are grateful to CGEMC for investing in the health and well-being of our community!

Through a recent humanitarian contribution, the Griffin Lions Club was able to assist three local families who reside on Pecan Drive in Spalding County. Their lives were impacted by residential fires last December.

We extend our sincere appreciation to Spalding County Fire Department for welcoming us into their headquarters and helping coordinate this meaningful moment. Many thanks to the donor who supports the clubs efforts in humanitarian services. The gratitude expressed by the families was a powerful reminder of why community partnerships matter.
