We didn't take the seat- but we woke something up in this community that isn't going back to sleep. I promised to move mountains with or without the title. That promise stands.

Mike Kendall has been connected to this community, District 1, his entire life. He played here. He grew up here. He learned here. He built here. And for the past several months he has done something most people aren't willing to do- he told the truth about what is happening to our children's schools, out loud, on the record, when it would have been far easier to stay quiet. That is not a politician. That is a neighbor who loves this community enough to fight for it. Today he is asking for the chance to sit in that room and do something about it.

Don’t take the word of a Certified Accountant and practicing attorney- both me. Go listen to the GSCS Board of Education’s own attorney explain why the public wasn’t told about that secret payment to the former superintendent.

Because when the people in charge start explaining why something had to stay hidden, that’s usually when you need to pay the closest attention.
