Short legged tan dog running down Belle Meade north in the 300 block. It will not let me catch it. It almost just got hit. It looks similar to a long-haired we**ie dog.

🌀July 19th, 4pm Advisory Update: TD Two remains forecast to affect the northern Gulf Coast early this week. Minor impacts are possible for marine/coastal areas, including heavy rain, coastal flooding, and gusty winds. Continue to monitor the forecast for changes.

As everyone gets ready to celebrate Americas 250. You may want to fire off some fireworks. Remember fire works are actually not allowed in Unincorporated Jefferson, but if you are going to partake, here is a video put on by Jefferson Parish Fire Chiefs, regarding fire safety with fireworks.

There are two warming centers for residents in Jefferson Parish at Terrytown Playground (641 Heritage Avenue, Terrytown, LA 70056) and the Ree Alario Multi-Purpose Center (6900 Saints Drive, Metairie, LA 70003).

These centers will remain open for people and pets in need of a warm place during the cold. Residents with pets are asked to bring a pet carrier. The Jefferson Parish Human Services Authority will also assist individuals living outdoors seek temporary shelter.

Those with questions or in need of transportation to the warming centers can contact the Jefferson Parish Emergency Operations Center at (504) 349-5360.
