Franklin & Pittsylvania Railroad - F&P

Franklin & Pittsylvania Railroad - F&P The Franklin & Pittsylvania Railroad, connecting Gretna and Rocky Mount, VA, ran in various forms from 1879-1932. The F&P still echoes today.

The F&P is beloved by many in the counties of Franklin and Pittsyvlania. The railroad helped build the towns of Gretna and Rocky Mount while stimulating the economy of both counties. A number of folks have conducted research over the years on the old F&P. We hope to highlight that research as well as post new research.
