A big moment for our Gretna community! 💚

The Gretna Community Foundation was proud to be part of the groundbreaking for the new Peterson Park Water Play Area!

Our very own Nancy Arp even got to grab a shovel and help officially break ground! 🥰

This project is a wonderful example of what can happen when a community comes together. We’re excited to watch this space come to life and become a place where Gretna families and kids can make memories for years to come.

Thank you to everyone who has helped make this project possible. We can’t wait to see what’s next! 💚

The Gretna Community Foundation is excited to kick off our 2026 grant cycle and continue supporting organizations making a difference right here in our community. 💛

💚 Exciting news for Gretna!
Thanks to the incredible generosity of our donors and the pledges we’ve received, we’ve reached the fundraising milestone needed to qualify for the $150,000 matching grant for the Gretna Splash Pad! This means our community is one step closer to bringing this exciting new amenity to Peterson Park for families to enjoy next year.

Thank you to every donor, volunteer, sponsor, and supporter who helped make this possible. Together, we’re creating something special for generations of Gretna families.💚💦

For generations, Peterson Park was where memories were made. Now, we have a chance to bring that spirit back!

Thanks to a $150,000 Challenge Grant, every dollar donated toward Gretna’s new interactive water feature will be matched up to that amount.

🎆 Our Biggest Fundraiser of the Year Opens Tomorrow! 🎆

The Gretna Community Foundation Fireworks Tent opens June 25, and we’d love your support!

This is our largest fundraiser of the year, helping us continue our mission of supporting projects, programs, and organizations that make Gretna a stronger community. Combined with the generosity of our donors and supporters throughout the year, the Foundation awarded more than $29,000 in grants last year.

When you purchase your fireworks from our tent, you’re helping us continue that impact right here in Gretna.
