For Feek Forever's fundraising efforts support a grant program called Books from Feek. This year, 11 schools throughout Nebraska will receive a combined $23,000. This money will be used to purchase books and other materials to help literacy efforts.
I was inspired as I read through the applications. Passion and love for kids came through in the applicant's writing. These teachers and librarians put so much time into forming relationships with their students and thinking through ways they can maximize their efforts towards getting kids to love reading.
Brad did the same. He brought intention into his classroom each day. He won many of the same type of grant that the non profit in his honor now supports. He had a classroom library that he was very proud of.
Our family is honored to get to continue his legacy by helping other teachers and librarians in the state. Thanks to these individuals for their passion for kids and literacy and for taking the time to apply for this grant.
