Bertony just returned from ATL, and we’re already moving forward with what’s next for our Crick Tribe back at the OG.
We’re honored to welcome Menbe Egigu, founder of Enat Ethiopian Kitchen, for a special kitchen residency that brings her family’s tradition and unforgettable flavors to The Crick.
Menbe’s story didn’t start in a restaurant. It started with an entrepreneurial spirit, persistence, and a willingness to step into something new. When an unexpected opportunity presented itself, not just a space, but a chance to build something of her own, she stayed on it. Even when doors didn’t open right away, she kept showing up until they did.
Given a short window to prove it could work, doubt showed up. But so did community. One unexpected gathering filled the room, the tables, and the moment with something real. That was all the confirmation she needed.
Enat means “mother.” And that’s exactly what she created. A kitchen rooted in care, culture, and connection, now run alongside her sons. Now that story continues at The Crick.
