One of Grenola’s young citizens sadly lost his life in a tragic car accident . Wrangler Sweet , his son Levi, and his cousin Garrett, were in the car together. Levi was treated and released , and Garrett still has some major healing ahead. All have been a part of the Grenola community most of their lives. Garrett is the son of Kim, Wrangler is the son of Coreen Nixon and Todd Sweet and the grandchildren of Diana VanDerhagen and the late John and Pat Sweet . A Go Fund me has been established to help with Wrangler’s funeral service. Please keep this family in your prayers as they go down this difficult road .

🎉 Celebrating 90 Years! 🎉

This past Saturday, we had the joy of celebrating John Sweet’s 90th birthday at the VA nursing facility surrounded by family and friends. 💙🇺🇸

John had a wonderful time — he truly enjoyed himself and loved visiting with everyone who came to share this special day.

A heartfelt thank you to all who attended and helped make his 90th birthday such a memorable celebration. Your love and presence meant the world. 💐🎂❤️

Dwight and Debbie Burdette just celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary. Dwight and Debbie made their home in the Elk/Chautauqua county areas ranching and raising cattle . They were blessed with 3 daughters, Megan and her husband Justin Hahner; Morgan and her husband Justin Lupfer; and Mattie Burdette. Grandchildren , Sterling and Briar; Kaylynn and Max.
