As y'all know, we have some pretty big plans for the grounds. With our pals at Gregory County 4-H, we aim to turn the space into a pretty epic place to enjoy rodeo, youth activities, and lots more — we think the sky is the limit here, folks.

Wide Open Spaces Foundation is hosting listening sessions to get your input on what you'd like to see included — your big ideas are welcome, so bring 'em our way!

They are hosting sessions in Bonesteel, Burke, and Gregory:

What a wonderful, beautiful, heart-filling day. The sun finally poked out this afternoon and on my drive home I couldn’t help but think it was our wonderful community that made it come out and shine. ☺️ Thank you so much to everyone who came today and showed support for the vendors. And vendors, thank you so much for coming! I know it’s a lot of work, so I truly hope it was worth your time. All in all, I’d say it was fun and successful day. We hope to see you all back again someday. 🌷

I’ve put on enough events that you would think by now it would either feel easier, or I’d learn my lesson and just choose to sit and relax. 🙃 Oddly enough, being busy seems to be a form of relaxation for me; but I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t feeling discouraged earlier in the week with the weather forecast. When I was grumbling about it to my family one morning my ten year old Everly Jo reminded me, “mom, you have to stay positive.”
And when a child tells you to stay positive then it’s time to buck up and drop the negative Ned attitude. The forecast still doesn’t look great for tomorrow but I’m feeling nothing but positivity. We have so many great vendors coming, delicious treats on the menu and plenty of furry friends for you to come say hi to. (A big thank you goes out to Morgan for lending us her garage for animals and visitors alike to get out of the cold and enjoy each others company.)

Needless to say, from the front door of 621 Main to the alley and over to the Advocate we have so much fun in store. I hope all of you can swing in and say hi. I think it’s safe to say we’ll be ready for you✨
