The South Carolina State Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), recognizes Columbus Day, commemorating Christopher Columbus’s 1492 voyage across the Atlantic and its lasting impact on world history.

As we reflect on our nation’s complex history, may we continue to study the past thoughtfully and preserve our shared historical heritage for future generations.

🪶🌎 **Indigenous Peoples’ Day | October 12, 2026** 🌎🪶

The South Carolina State Society, Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR), honors the histories, cultures, traditions, and enduring contributions of Indigenous peoples.

During America’s 250th anniversary year, we recognize the Indigenous communities whose histories are woven into our nation’s story and whose living cultures continue to enrich our country today.

📚 May we continue to learn, preserve history, and foster understanding and respect for generations to come.

Many thanks to Lora Leftwich for a fantastic program, “Something Old, Something New: Weddings with the DAR Museum.” As an NSDAR Museum Docent, she can speak on a variety of topics! It was wonderful to meet her fellow Kings Mountain Chapter members who came along, too.

Joyce Scott Chapter also collected both people and pet food for Greer Community Ministries as a service project for October 🧡🍁🇺🇸

This past Wednesday, Joyce Scott Chapter members and prospectives joined an amazing crowd to welcome home 90 Veterans on the Upstate Honor Flight 🇺🇸. Such patriotic moments as these cannot be missed‼️

Members of the Joyce Scott Chapter NSDAR commemorate Constitution Week, September 17-23, by collaborating with our local communities to issue Constitution Week Proclamations. We appreciate the City of Greer, Town of Lyman, and Town of Duncan for joining with us in this effort. Huzzah 💙🇺🇸❤️

We Remember … the Joyce Scott Chapter continues a five-year tradition of delivering lunch to the City of Greer Fire and Police Departments. It is such an honor to thank our heroes personally‼️❤️🇺🇸💙
