🚨 CONSUMER ALERT: Online retailer claiming Greenville ties 🚨

BBB serving Upstate South Carolina is warning consumers to use caution when shopping with Margot & Ivy, an online clothing retailer that represents itself as having ties to Greenville, SC.

BBB has seen a recent increase in calls and reports about the company. Consumers say they discovered Margot & Ivy through social media ads and believed they were shopping with a U.S.-based retailer.

Instead, consumers report:

⚠️ Clothing arriving that looks significantly different from website photos
⚠️ Poor-quality, damaged or incorrectly styled merchandise
⚠️ Long shipping times
⚠️ Difficulty obtaining a full refund
⚠️ Being offered partial refunds or store credit instead
⚠️ Being told they must pay to return merchandise to China to receive a full refund

BBB has been unable to verify a legitimate physical retail location for Margot & Ivy in Greenville.

One important reminder: A polished website and a local city name don't necessarily mean an online retailer is actually located in your community.

🔎 Before buying from an unfamiliar online store, research the business independently, verify its physical address, read the return policy carefully and pay by credit card when possible.
