Isn’t it amazing what’s happening in our own backyard?🥰
Today, our community center was buzzing with energy! We hosted a fantastic group of youth and chaperones from First Baptist Church, Greenville, SC Advocacy Camp.

Together, we assembled hygiene kits to be distributed this July in honor of America250 th birthday community service milestone in partnership with 🎁🇺🇸 Embrace Relief.

It was an incredible day of service, wonderful conversations, and delicious Turkish food.

Thank you so much to Caroline Hiatt and the entire FBG team for partnering with us and doing such impactful work! Let's definitely stay in touch! 🤝✨

We are also looking forward to seeing you all at the Turkish Food Festival-Spring'26 on June 20th in front of the Peace Center in downtown Greenville! 🎡🍲 Hope to see you there!

🌸 Happy Mother’s Day from Palmetto Care & Share 🌸

Today, we honor the women whose love, sacrifice, strength, and compassion help hold families and communities together. Mothers are often the first to give, the last to rest, and the steady source of comfort, encouragement, and hope for those around them.

At Palmetto Care & Share, our mission is rooted in compassion, dignity, service, and uplifting others through care and community support. On this special day, we celebrate every mother, grandmother, caregiver, foster mother, mentor, and mother figure who continues to pour love into the lives of others — often quietly and selflessly.

We recognize the mothers who are nurturing children, caring for loved ones, overcoming challenges, and inspiring future generations through faith, resilience, and unconditional love. Your impact reaches farther than words can express.

🌿 What a beautiful evening of connection and community! 🌿

This National Day of Prayer, Palmetto Care & Share Institute was honored to partner with My Neighbor's Voice to host a special dinner — bringing together people of all faiths and backgrounds to share a meal, listen deeply, and discover our shared humanity.

The evening unfolded in two meaningful parts:

✨ Part 1: Listening to One Another

My Neighbor's Voice uses a unique deck of Listening Cards to guide each gathering. These universal community questions span 11 different categories, inviting everyone to reflect and share. Each participant drew a question and had up to three minutes to answer it sincerely — while everyone else simply listened. No responses, no comments, no interruptions. Just one uninterrupted voice at a time.

What we heard moved us. New stories, unexpected experiences, and deeply personal perspectives filled the room. We left knowing each other in ways we never could have imagined walking in.

✨ Part 2: Praying Together

As the evening drew to a close, hearts came together in prayer. From many voices, one prayer rose:

"🕊️ We gather tonight with grateful hearts — thankful for the welcome, the generosity, and the hospitality we have shared. May the small seeds planted at this table grow into something beautiful.

May we love, love, love our neighbors as ourselves.

We pray for peace — because we share the same world. For understanding — because we are one family. For freedom, health, and well-being for all people, especially those far from home, that they may be safe and held in grace.

O God, guide us to the path of those you have blessed. Do not leave us alone with our own ego and desires. Surround us with beautiful-hearted people, unite our hearts, heal our wounds, and help us accept and respect one another as we are.

May we be a human family that chooses radical loving kindness — again and again."

Different faiths. Different voices. One table. One family.

My Neighbor's Voice was founded right here in Greenville, SC in 2016, with a belief that listening — really listening — is one of the most powerful things we can do for one another. We are so grateful for this partnership and for every soul who gathered with us.

In collaboration with Embrace Relief, Palmetto Care & Share Institute distributed 85 meal packages today to local men’s and women’s shelters.

This effort is part of the America-250 initiative, where Embrace Relief is highlighting the spirit of service during the blessed month of Ramadan (February 18 – March 19, 2026).

Through the Ramadan 2026 Food Distribution program, the goal is to provide nutritious meals to 250,000 people across 25 countries—including communities here in the United States—focusing on those facing food insecurity.

We are grateful to be part of this meaningful initiative and thankful to all the volunteers who helped make a difference today. Together, we continue to serve, support, and uplift our community. 💛

Last night, we had the pleasure of hosting a wonderful group of ladies from CornerStone Baptist Church for a beautiful Iftar(fast breaking) dinner.

We shared meaningful conversations about fasting—its place, purpose, and traditions within our different faiths—and discovered how much common ground we have. It was truly inspiring to listen, learn, and connect on a deeper level.

Of course, the evening was filled with delicious food, but even better were the heartfelt conversations, laughter, and new friendships formed around the table.

Moments like these remind us that understanding begins with coming together. We are grateful for this opportunity and look forward to many more gatherings that build bridges across our community. 💛
