This week, Community Initiatives, Inc. was proud to have members of our Clínica Gratis/The Free Clinic leadership team attend the National Association of Free and Charitable Clinics (NAFC)Annual Symposium from Sunday through Tuesday.

Representing CII were Sanquinette Brownlee, Medical Director & Medical Provider; Jessica Brown, Clinic Director & Women’s Health Provider; and Teresa Goodman, Executive Director. We shared the opportunity with other South Carolina clinic leaders and our the South Carolina Free Clinic Association leadership.

The symposium provided a valuable opportunity to learn, share, and connect with free and charitable clinic leaders and professionals from across the country. Our team returned with new ideas, strengthened connections, and continued inspiration for advancing access to quality, compassionate healthcare for the individuals and families we serve.

We are grateful for opportunities like these that allow us to grow, collaborate, and bring valuable knowledge back to our community.

We are grateful for our partnership with Community Initiatives! Thank you to Yashekia Johnson (center) for providing timely, compassionate support to a survivor of domestic violence as she navigated healthcare services. Together, we're making a difference—one life at a time.

Today we celebrate our amazing 4-year-olds as they take the next big step on their educational journey! We are so proud of all you have learned, the friendships you’ve made, and the confidence you’ve gained during your time with us.
