Our Troop meets at the South Sebastian County Boys and Girls Club on Monday evenings at 7:15 (during active school days). Our mission is to empower youth through adventure, education, and community service, fostering leadership, responsibility, and a lifelong love for the outdoors and community. We strive to build character, promote teamwork, and inspire a commitment to making a positive impact in

our world. We participate in community service projects, generally camp once per month, and attend a summer camp each year. Keywords:

Summer Camp 2025 at D-Bar-A Scout Camp, Michigan is wrapping up. Our Scouts had the opportunity to spend a week learning what it takes to work at The Ranch! Helped the D-Bar-A Ranch Staff care for there herd of horses, long horn cattle, and burros during this once in a lifetime adventure! They learned to bend & weld metal, work on farm machinery, learned horse care, and did repairs around The Ranch!

Troop 1989 Scouts participated in a full-immersion program not only to learn to rope, ride, and spend a night under the stars with their horses. They also had the opportunity to participate in a true cattle drive as well!

Veterinary Medicine
Farm Mechanics
Horsemanship (earned prior)
Welding
Painting
Metalworking

Way to go boys! It was hot, it was dusty, but it was FUN!!!

Summer Camp 2025 is a wrap at Boxwell Reservation Middle Tennessee Council! Scouts had a fantastic time camping, playing and learning. Merit badges in music, leatherwork, woodwork, rifle, archery, sailing, scuba, electronics and electricity among others were earned. Special thanks to the Camp Stahlman staff for making us feel at home.

Four adventurous scouts finished up their whitewater merit badge and did some exploring in Buffalo River Country this weekend. Ran a new section of river, saw some waterfalls for the first time, sharpened their paddling skills and practiced water rescues.

Troop 1989 had a great day at Arkansas Gathering. Good food, fun trading, fun activities and closed the evening with a solemn flag retirement.

Thanks to the generosity of Greenwood residents, Troop 1989 with help from Troop 54 collected nearly 1,700 pounds of food Saturday morning. Greenwood scouts have participated in this annual food drive for many years. Cub Scouts distribute bags the week prior and older Scouts collect. This will certainly help those less fortunate in our community. A scout is Helpful.

Wonderful weekend at Petit Jean. Good hiking, good food, and wonderful scenery with great friends. A little hard work clearing a trail too!

A few days late, but two of our scouts had a great time at Camp Rockefeller Summer Camp's winter camp last weekend. Qualifications for archery, rifle shooting, and shotgun shooting were earned along with a merit badge in Chemistry and Emergency Preparedness. Thanks to Greenwood Arkansas Troop 54 for sharing your campsite, we had a great time!

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving!
