The Fuller Center had another productive, team-building work day on Saturday, thanks in large part to Boy Scout Troop 4200. It was great to see young people working together for the benefit of their neighbors. Dan Splaingard, Steve Fortenberry, and Michael Higgins led the installation of concrete steps and other exterior improvements. The house looks and functions so much better than it did at the beginning, and we're excited for its soon-to-be owners to move in -- in just a little over a week from now.

We still have a few work days left, so please contact us if you want to get involved in this project (or future ones)! Sign up here: https://forms.gle/274mtqzY7xgXxWzR7

Thanks to the leadership of MVSU professor Daniel Splaingard and Salvation Army's Rachel Splaingard, the transformation of this house is almost complete. The Fuller Center for Housing plans to sell it to a wonderful young family on March 17th. We hope that it will serve them well for years to come as a nourishing home and as a wealth-building asset.

Want to help us reach the finish line? Join Fuller Center's crew of volunteers by sending a message, calling 662-385-2295, or emailing us at [email protected]. Unskilled as well as skilled volunteers are welcome. Remaining tasks include painting, general cleanup, and landscaping.
