Greenwood, AR - Senior and Disabled Volunteers Hello Greenwood citizens! This page is here to coordinate Volunteers in our area who would like to help our Senior and Disabled Citizens.

Still working on getting a portable mower up and running - but if you are a senior/disabled member of Greenwood and need your yard mowed AND have a mower available - I will be available on Sundays to mow and do light yard work. You can comment on this post or Private message me to set up a date!

Also - soon I will have some girl's clothing available for free to a child in need. Mostly size 10 shorts/pants and size Medium shirts. Some size 7/8 shorts/pants and some size 12 shorts/pants as well as some Large shirts. Will be going through shoes as well, but might not be many decent pairs. Will post when ready to deliver IN Greenwood to a Greenwood family.

Hello! It has been a while since I've posted so I just wanted to put some new activity out there.

Also, warmer weather is on its way soon and I want to be sure that no one goes without some cooling relief! I will be setting some funds aside for boxed fans for our Senior and Disabled citizens. I'll have a count available soon - so please message me if you are in need of one.

For Volunteers - I started this page after seeing Senior/Disabled Citizens struggle in the heat to mow/upkeep their yards.

So, if you would like to volunteer this summer to help your neighbors out - feel free to advertise your availability on this page, or just simply stop and offer a hand when you see someone in need. This is a VOLUNTEER service page, NO money should be collected, unless you are running errands such as grocery shopping/etc., and even then I hope that the gas and time used is your gift.

I plan to have days and times that I will be available for yard work, and will post them as soon as I get that worked out.

I welcome all involvement and ideas from everyone. This is OUR page - so don't be shy!!

Feel free to message me at any time with any advice or questions! Don't Ever be afraid to ask for help!!

Hello! This will probably be the last post before this page is deactivated unless it starts generating some use! Again, free volunteers for those in need that live in the Greenwood Area. If you would like to volunteer your time, service, etc. - please comment below how/when you would be able to help, or you can leave a phone number/email address. If you are a Senior or Disabled citizen of Greenwood and you need some help with winter preparations, in need of blankets/heat, food, or just someone to pick up some milk for you - any thing - just comment your need or you can Private Message me! First order of Business -- Is this thing on!?

An earlier post I made was basically a Role Call sheet, and boy were those Crickets singing!! Don't be shy now!! We are all either here to help or receive help, or the third Super Cool option is to nominate some one YOU think needs help!!

Second Order of Business -- Role Call!! Just comment below if you want to be an Open Volunteer - kind of like a Volunteer Directory. You can list what you specialize in! If you make a mean Spaghetti and want to feed someone, or if you run errands often and don't mind picking things up for someone who has trouble getting around - Let Us Know! If you Need Help, Let Us Know!!

Third Order of Business -- Feel free to contribute ideas or make suggestions at ANY time. I would like this to be a Community Driven page!!

In the hopes of getting things moving I thought it might be beneficial to see who joined to be a Volunteer and who joined in need of help. SO if you are wanting to be a Volunteer, just comment on this post VOLUNTEER. If you are in need of help or know someone who is, you can comment that you need help and what you need help with. Hello again members! This page is new so it might take a bit to reach it's full potential. For right now though - feel free to post or comment any time. Have an idea? Share it any time!

If you are a Senior/Disabled resident in need - please post to the page or message me with your need/s and when you need help! Yard work, grocery shopping, or a ride/etc. Let us know how we can help and the hopes are - a Volunteer who CAN help, will!

Don't be shy Volunteers!! Jump right in! We are here to do what we CAN so don't push yourself or feel bad if you can't help often - a little bit goes a long way!

Welcome! This page was a long time coming and I finally sat down and created it.

The purpose of this page is to find people in the Greenwood Area who need help with mowing the lawn, running errands/etc. and to connect them with Volunteers who just want to help a neighbor in need!

You can nominate a neighbor you think needs help, and ANY one can volunteer! Please share this page so we can Help!

This page and it's members are intended to run itself - if you see a need and can fill it, then feel free to take those steps! I want this to be a Community page where we ALL work together, so please feel free to share ideas and advice!
