A little self-love, ArtPlace LEAP style!

Over the past two weeks, our JOLA LEAP students explored abstract self-portraits, using color, texture, shape, and imagination to create artwork that celebrates who they are.

But this project was about more than just making art. Each child chose positive affirmations about themselves—words that remind them of their own unique qualities, strengths, and specialness.

Using a playful mix of paint, paper, tissue, collage, and mixed media techniques, they transformed their portraits into colorful celebrations of self-confidence and self-love.

We love watching our little artists discover that there is so much to celebrate about YOU! 💕🎨
