Update from Tampa Bay: Rebuilding After Hurricanes Helene and Milton
As we continue to assess the impact of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, I wanted to share some updates from Florida. Our Tampa Bay community is facing significant challenges—power outages, health concerns, sewer issues, debris removal, food and gas shortages, and more. It's been a tough time for many of us.
American Freedom Distillery and our partner, The Urban Stillhouse by Horse Soldier, have sustained damage and remain closed to the public for now. Infrastructure issues have slowed our recovery, but we’re actively working with engineers, inspectors, insurance carriers, and government agencies to get things moving. While the path forward is difficult, we’re committed to rebuilding and reopening as soon as possible.
On a personal note, many of our team members have experienced extensive property damage, but we’re grateful to report that no lives were lost. Our priorities remain clear: ensuring the safety and well-being of our staff, assessing and repairing the business, and supporting the Tampa Bay community.
Many have asked how they can help. Your kindness means the world to us. If you’d like to support our business during this time, you can:
Shop online at our retail store: bit.ly/3Y5i3Ik
Purchase Horse Soldier Bourbon at your local liquor store or restaurant: bit.ly/3NqdR0z
Buy gift cards to The Urban Stillhouse by Horse Soldier for future use: bit.ly/3Ymntjo
Your support allows us to keep our business running, provide stability for our team, and push forward with our recovery. The men and women we work with are incredibly resilient, and your encouragement has only strengthened their resolve.
We’ll keep you updated on our progress, and we appreciate your patience as we navigate these challenges. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions.
