Congratulations to Richard Derrick Pace of Saluda for receiving The Charlie Foundation Scholarship from Piedmont Tech. Majoring in Business Management, Derrick returned to higher education to advance his employment at CPW in Greenwood and to be a role model for his children. On August 24, The Charlie Foundation, represented by Charlyn Staubes and Ann Coker, presented a check to Kim Chariker, Executive Director of Saluda County First Steps, to support the Story Walk project at the Town of Saluda Park on Jefferson Street.

One of the components of The Charlie Foundation is to support education resources for Saluda County residents. Parents and their children participating in the Story Walk help set the foundation for formal education.
